Freightliner ® Power and Speaker Wiring Harness The Freightliner power and speaker wiring harness connects directly to the CAN bus 2.0 system to support steering wheel controls. This wiring harness is available for the Freightliner M2 and Cascadia vehicles.

Wiring Harnesses Power and Speaker Wiring Harness

The power and speaker wiring harness contains the main power and speaker connections for the system. The harness connects directly to the stereo and to the vehicle wiring harness without modification. You can use this diagram to troubleshoot or to address non-default installation requirements. Wiring harnesses may vary based on installation requirements.

Connecting Vehicle and Backup Cameras You can connect up to four analog vehicle cameras to the infotainment system for backup, left, right, and front cameras. 1 For each camera, route the camera's RCA analog video cable to the back of the stereo. You should clearly label each cable for reference when you are connecting them to the stereo. 2 For each camera, determine the analog high signal that should trigger the stereo to display the camera, and route a wire for that signal to the back of the stereo. For example, you can use a reverse signal to trigger the backup camera when the vehicle is put in reverse, or you can use turn signal to trigger a side mirror camera. 3 Connect each RCA analog video cable to the VIDEO IN connectors on the back of the stereo, as shown. Front camera Left camera Right camera Backup camera 4 Connect the analog high signal wire for the backup camera to the pink REVERSE wire of the power and speaker wiring harness ( Power and Speaker Wiring Harness , page 2). 5 Connect the analog high signal wire for each of the other cameras to the appropriate camera detect wire of the analog signal detect harness ( Analog Signal Wiring Harness , page 2). NOTE: If you do not want to trigger a camera automatically, you should leave that camera detect wire disconnected. Harness wire color Camera Blue Left camera Orange Right camera Brown Front camera Attaching the Display Adapter to the Dock (7-inch Models Only) You should attach the adapter to the dock before you install the dock in a dashboard. 1 Place the adapter on the front of the dock, aligning the four screw holes on the adapter with the dock.

2 Using the included screws , secure the adapter to the dock. The recommended torque applied to the adapter screws is 3.0 to 3.5 lbf-in. (0.34 to 0.40 N-m). 3 Adhere the adapter label to the front of the adapter. Dock Installation You must use the included bracket to install the device dock into a specific vehicle type. The product package includes the hardware required to attach the bracket to the dock. The product package does not include the hardware to attach the bracket to the dashboard or the dashboard panel. Installing the Bracket on the Dock for Mercedes-Benz ® Sprinter ™ Vehicles 1 Place each bracket on the dock, aligning the holes on the bracket with the holes on the dock.

2 Using the included screws , secure each bracket to the dock. The recommended torque you should apply to the screws is 5.0 to 6.0 lbf-in. (0.56 to 0.68 N-m). 3 Install the dock into the dashboard using the appropriate hardware (not included). 4 Attach the included bezel to the front of the dock. 5 If necessary, install all remaining dashboard components. Installing the Bracket on the Dock for Freightliner M2 Vehicles 1 Place each bracket on the dock, aligning the holes on the bracket with the holes on the dock.

2 Using the included screws , secure each bracket to the dock.

The recommended torque you should apply to the screws is 5.0 to 6.0 lbf-in. (0.56 to 0.68 N-m). 3 Install the dock into the dashboard using the appropriate hardware (not included). 4 Attach the included bezel to the front of the dock. 5 If necessary, install all remaining dashboard components. Installing the Bracket on the Dock for IVECO ™ Vehicles 1 Place each bracket on the dock , aligning the holes on the bracket with the holes on the sides of the dock.

NOTICE Avoid wires, gauges, air bags, air bag covers, HVAC, and other items when cutting the dashboard and attaching the mount to the vehicle. Garmin is not responsible for any damages or consequences arising from the installation. 1 Place each bracket on the dock , aligning the holes in the bracket with the holes on the dock.

2 Using the included M5 screws , secure each bracket to the dock. You should apply a recommended torque of 5.0 to 6.0 lbf-in. (0.56 to 0.68 N-m) to the screws. 3 Remove the dashboard front panel. 4 Trim the mounting template, and confirm the device will fit in the mounting location. 5 Secure the template to the mounting location. 6 Using a jigsaw or rotary tool, cut the mounting surface along the dashed line on the template. 7 Place the device in the cutout to test the fit. 8 If necessary, refine the size of the cutout and remove extra material from the inside of the dashboard. 9 After the device fits correctly in the cutout, verify the mounting holes on the device line up with the pilot holes on the template. 10 If the mounting holes on the device do not line up, mark the new pilot-hole locations. 11 Using a 1.5 mm (#53) drill bit, drill the pilot holes. 12 Remove the template from the mounting surface. 13 Install the support bracket at the base of the cutout in the dashboard (not included). 14 Replace the dashboard front panel. 15 Connect all necessary cables to the device before placing it into the cutout. 16 Place the device into the cutout. 17 Secure the device to the mounting surface using the included M3 screws . 18 Install the decorative bezel by snapping it in place around the edges of the device. Installing the Device in a Dodge ProMaster 1 Place the upper bracket on the dock , aligning the holes in the bracket with the holes on the top of the dock.

2 Using the included screws , secure each bracket to the sides of the dock. The recommended torque you should apply to the screws is 5.0 to 6.0 lbf-in. (0.56 to 0.68 N-m). 3 Attach the bracket and dock to the dashboard using the appropriate hardware (not included). 4 Attach the included bezel to the front of the dock. 5 If necessary, install all remaining dashboard components. Installing the Bracket for FIAT ™ Ducato Vehicles 1 Place the upper bracket on the dock , aligning the holes in the bracket with the holes on the top of the dock.

2 Using the included screws , secure the bracket to the top of the dock. The recommended torque you should apply to the screws is 5.0 to 6.0 lbf-in. (0.56 to 0.68 N-m). 3 Repeat this procedure for the side brackets . 4 Install the upper and lower chassis brackets onto the dashboard. 5 Install the dock onto the dashboard using the appropriate hardware. 6 Attach the included bezel to the front of the dock. 7 If necessary, install all remaining dashboard components. Installing the Device in a Freightliner Cascadia You can use the included template and hardware to flush mount the device on the dashboard in your vehicle.

4 Secure the template to the mounting location. 5 Using a jigsaw or rotary tool, cut the mounting surface along the dashed line on the template. 6 Place the device in the cutout to test the fit. 7 If necessary, refine the size of the cutout. 8 After the device fits correctly in the cutout, verify the mounting holes on the device line up with the pilot holes on the template. 9 If the mounting holes on the device do not line up, mark the new pilot-hole locations. 12 If you will not have access to the back of the device after you mount it, connect all necessary cables to the device before placing it into the cutout. 13 Place the device into the cutout. 14 Secure the device to the mounting surface using the included M3 screws . 15 Install the decorative bezel by snapping it in place around the edges of the device. Stereo Information Specifications 10 Using a 1.5 mm (#53) drill bit, drill the pilot holes. 11 Remove the template from the mounting surface.

2 Using the included screws , secure the bracket to the top of the dock. The recommended torque you should apply to the screws is 5.0 to 6.0 lbf-in. (0.56 to 0.68 N-m). 3 Repeat this procedure for the side brackets . 4 Attach the clip-on nuts to the bottom edge of the dashboard, and attach the chassis bracket to the clip-on nuts using the included screws. 5 Attach the upper chassis bracket to the dashboard using the existing screws in the vehicle dashboard. 6 Attach the dock to the dashboard using the included screws. 7 Attach the included bezel to the front of the dock. 8 If necessary, install all remaining dashboard components. Installing the Device on a Wall The included template and hardware can be used to flush mount the device on the wall in your recreational vehicle. WARNING Always be sure of your mounting location before cutting into a wall. Recreational vehicle walls may contain utility lines. Failure to understand what is behind your mounting surface could result in damage to the vehicle, injury, or death. NOTICE Wall-mount kits are intended for wall-mount installations only. Do not attempt to install this device in a vehicle dashboard using a wall-mount kit. The wall-mount bracket includes the hardware required to attach the dock to a wooden surface. If you are mounting the device on a different material, you should use suitable hardware for your mounting surface. 1 Place each bracket on the dock , aligning the holes in the bracket with the holes on the dock.

• Select to skip to the previous or next track, when using an applicable source. • Hold to rewind or fast forward the current track, when using an applicable source. • AM or FM source: ◦ Select to tune to the previous or next station. ◦ Hold for faster tuning (manual mode only). • Aux1 or Aux2 source: Select to decrease or increase the gain for the connected source. • SiriusXM source: Select to change to the previous or next channel. • DAB source: Select to change to the previous or next DAB station in the ensemble. • Select to pause or resume. • AM or FM source: ◦ Select to move through the tuning modes: auto, manual, and presets (when two or more presets are saved). ◦ Hold to save this station as a preset. • SiriusXM source: Select to move through the tuning modes (auto and presets), when you have at least one preset channel. • DAB source: Select to scan for DAB stations. Select to change the audio source. Docking the Display The display provides a touchscreen interface for the infotainment system. It can control the system while docked or undocked. 1 Place the bottom edge of the display into the dock. 2 Tilt the top of the display toward the dock until the magnets pull the remote into the correct position. The dock charges the display. in the status bar indicates the battery charge level. Undocking the Display 1 Tilt the display toward you by pressing the bottom edge of the display inward while pulling the top edge of the display toward you. This method keeps the bottom of the display seated in the dock and helps to prevent dropping the display. 2 After the display releases from the magnet, carefully remove the display from the mount. Getting Started

• Spread two fingers apart to zoom in. Adjusting the Screen Brightness You can adjust the brightness using either the notification panel or the settings menu. 1 Select an option: • Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to expand the quick settings in the notification panel. • Select > > > Display > Brightness Level . 2 Use the slider bar to adjust the brightness. Vehicle Profiles WARNING Entering your vehicle profile characteristics does not guarantee that your vehicle's characteristics will be accounted for in all route suggestions or that you will receive the warning icons in all cases. Limitations may exist in the map data such that your device cannot account for these restrictions or road conditions in all cases. Always defer to all posted road signs and road conditions when making driving decisions. Routing and navigation are calculated differently based on your vehicle profile. The activated vehicle profile is indicated by an icon in the status bar. The navigation and map settings on your device can be customized separately for each vehicle type. When you activate a camper vehicle profile, the device avoids including restricted or impassable areas in routes based on the dimensions, weight, and other characteristics you entered for your vehicle. Adding a Vehicle Profile You should add a vehicle profile for each camper to be used with your device. 1 Select > > Vehicle Profile > . 2 Select your vehicle type: • To add a motorhome with a permanently attached camper, select Motorhome . • To add a motorhome pulling a trailer, select Motorhome with Trailer . • To add a camper pulled behind a passenger vehicle, select Vehicle with Trailer . 3 If necessary, select your trailer type: • To add a camper pulled using a standard hitch, select Travel Trailer . • To add a camper pulled using a fifth-wheel hitch, select Fifth Wheel . NOTE: This trailer type is not available in all areas. • To add a boat trailer pulled using a standard hitch, select Boat Trailer . • To add a trailer pulled using a standard hitch, select Trailer . 4 Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the vehicle characteristics. After you add a vehicle profile, you can edit the profile to enter additional detailed information ( Editing a Vehicle Profile , page 3). Car Profile The car profile is a preloaded vehicle profile intended for use in an automobile without a trailer. While using the car profile, the device calculates standard automobile routes, and routing for large vehicles is not available. Some features and settings specific to large vehicles are not available while using the car profile.

Select to open the app drawer. The app drawer contains shortcuts to all of the apps installed on your device. Select media controls to turn the stereo on or off, change stations, change volume, and mute the stereo ( Playback Controls , page 13). Opening an App The home screen contains shortcuts for frequently used apps. The app drawer contains all the apps installed on your device, organized into two tabs. The Navigation tab contains Garmin ® apps useful for navigation. The Tools tab contains apps useful for communication, document viewing, and other tasks. Select an option to start an app: • Select an app shortcut from the home screen. • Select , select a tab, and select an app. Adding Shortcuts to the Home Screen 1 Select . 2 Select an app tab to view additional applications. 3 Hold an application, and drag it to a location on the home screen. Viewing Notifications 1 Swipe down from the top of the screen. The list of notifications appears. 2 Select an option: • To launch the action or app mentioned in the notification, select the notification. • To dismiss a notification, swipe the notification to the right. Status Bar Icons The status bar is located at the top of the main menu. The status bar icons display information about features on the device. Location services is enabled ( Enabling or Disabling Location Services , page 26). Bluetooth ® technology is enabled. Connected to a Bluetooth device. Connected to a Wi ‑ Fi ® network ( Connecting to a Wireless Network , page 25). Active vehicle profile. Swipe down twice and select to view the vehicle profile settings ( Vehicle Profiles , page 2). Battery charge level. Acquiring GPS Signals When you turn on your navigation device, the GPS receiver must collect satellite data and establish the current location. The time required to acquire satellite signals varies based on several factors, including how far you are from the location where you last used your navigation device, whether you have a clear view of the sky, and how long it has been since you last used your navigation device. The first time you turn on your navigation device, it may take several minutes to acquire satellite signals. 1 Turn on the device. 2 Verify appears in the status bar, and enable location services if it does not ( Enabling or Disabling Location Services , page 26). 3 If necessary, go to an open area with a clear view of the sky, away from tall buildings and trees. Acquiring Satellites appears at the top of the navigation map until the device determines your location. Using the Touchscreen • Tap the screen to select an item. • Drag or swipe your finger across the screen to pan or scroll. • Pinch two fingers together to zoom out.
