This section covers Minimum Viable Setup The simplest STAR installation requires: 1. STAR Controller (any model) 2. 12-24V DC power supply 3. Loads (lights, pumps, accessories) No switches, no apps, no network—just power and loads. Using Built-In Buttons (STAR-Power Only) STAR-Power has backup buttons directly on the controller face: • Press a button → corresponding channel toggles • Press and hold → channel dims (for dimmable channels) This provides emergency control even if all switches fail. Adding Physical Switches Wire any STAR switch to expand control: CAN switches: Connect to the CAN port. Buttons auto-map to channels. Bluetooth switches: Insert battery. Switch pairs automatically with nearest controller.
